Every season, the PROJECT community comes together to celebrate innovations in the industry, discover the latest trends, and showcase or procure must-have apparel, accessories, and footwear by a global assortment of brands. The continued involvement of PROJECT vendors, retailers, and industry leaders allows us to cultivate inspiring on-site experiences and activations for all of us to be a part of. So, with great gratitude, we’re excited to recap our FW 24/25 events in a series of editorials. First up is this community highlights feature from our FW 24/25 New York and Las Vegas events, but stay tuned for more editorials highlighting key insights, trends, and market drivers from the menswear community gathering at PROJECT.
In New York, things were much more intimate with an exclusive 3-day event that took place during men’s market week in January. Attendees were invited to a charming Greenwich Village townhouse which was transformed by a niche curation of vendors who displayed goods on and alongside antique tables and armoires plus a bar serving up Agua Mágica Mezcal, complete with a custom “In Your Neighborhood” tapestry to compliment the aesthetic of the space. Brands, retailers, and in-the-know industry leaders browsed the assortment with long-time connections and left with new friends.
Well-known staples like GANT and KEEN footwear resided alongside emerging brands like Mercer, a sustainable footwear and apparel brand based in Amsterdam yet inspired by Mercer Street in New York’s SoHo neighborhood where founder Pim Dresen bought his first pair of sneakers at age 10. Other brands include U.K. brand Café Mountain, which strives to reconnect city-dwellers with nature; Stockholm-based “rainwear” brand Stutterheim; 100% African-made apparel brand Post Imperial; Diversity-driven golf wear brand Eastside Golf; Japanese brand North Works, which uses vintage American coins to produce accessories; Sustainable Los Angeles eyewear brand Ahlem, and more.
PROJECT Las Vegas kicked off with multi-hyphenate Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson taking the stage to host the MAGIC Opening Night Party. This historic milestone was celebrated by our global fashion community over cocktails—compliments of Branson Cognac and Le Chemin Du Roi — bringing together vendors, retailers, and industry experts from PROJECT, MAGIC, and SOURCING at MAGIC.
Another anniversary we celebrated in Las Vegas was 30 years of ECKŌ Unltd. Designer and co-founder Marc Ecko sat down with Anthony Mastracci, Senior Commerce Editor at Men's Journal, to share with us his first-hand experience developing one of streetwear’s most recognizable brands and the Rhino logo.
Each season, PROJECT curates an immersive area featuring brands that are contributing to the betterment of our global ecosystem through sustainable practices. This season’s igloo inspired space included representation from our partners at Vegan Fashion Week.
PROJECT partnered with Hey Social Good, a leading social impact data analytics company, to recognize brands following the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Dr. Cindy J. Lin, HSG’s CEO, Co-Founder, & Sustainability and Environmental Impact Advisor, visited winning brands’ booths to personally deliver each award. HSG-verified PROJECT brands include AAM, Edwin, Frank and Oak, Henriette Steffensen, Mavi, Michael Stars, Organic Signatures, WILDFANG, and Yvette.
Attendees got their game on at athleisure brand Ellesse USA, Inc’s pickleball court which was located just steps away from the brand’s booth, as well as took part in the skate park and trick competition sponsored by Cult of Individuality.
Did you get to take a photo with the new florally immersed PROJECT photo-op sign, too? As the event took place during Valentine’s Day, we infused love into this installation with gorgeous florals.
