Feb 4, 2021 - The “American Collections Calendar,” formerly known as the Official New York Fashion Week Schedule, has finally been released. As reported, Tom Ford, chairman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, renamed the show schedule “American Collections Calendar” last week to reflect that a growing number of American designers are showing later in the season and sometimes outside of New York, whether that be in Europe, Asia or other key markets.

Media Qualifications & Credentials

Looking to attend one of our events as press? Press registration is open to all fashion related trade- and consumer-focused media outlets. Explore the drop downs below for more details on qualifications and credentials needed. Please note, all press registration requests are reviewed and subject to show management final approval.

Live Events:

  •  Writer/Reporter/Editor
  •  Blogger/Influencer
  •   Stylist/Wardrobe
  •   Publisher/CEO of Media Outlet
  •   Television/Radio Producer
  •   Photographer/Videographer 

Digital Events:

  •   Writer/Reporter/Editor
  •   Blogger/Influencer
  •   Publisher/CEO of Media Outlet

 

For both live and digital events, press must be associated with media outlets publishing relevant fashion coverage within 6 months of registration. 

 

*NOTE: Press qualification is subject to show management approval 

Advertising sales representatives, marketing staff, promotion companies, social media, PR and advertising/branding/creative agencies do not qualify for press credentials. For any of our live events, these representatives are welcome to attend, but will need to register as a paid attendee. Acceptable credentials include a business card from a print, broadcast or media organization in an editorial position (with individual's name and title listed) AND one of the following:

  • Byline of editorial credit from a recently published article specific to the fashion industry.
  • A website showing a current by-lined article published in an approved media outlet within the past six months.
  • Freelance writers and photographers must present a letter of assignment from an approved publication to be granted a press badge. Freelance writers or columnists not on an assignment must provide a copy of an industry-relevant by-lined article, published within the past six months in an approved media outlet.
